YOUNGEST TEEN TO COMPLETE THE G7 MOUNTAINS OF PENINSULAR MALAYSIA IN RECORD TIME
Naven A/L Poobalan for successfully completing the ascent of the Top 7 highest mountains in Peninsular Malaysia within an impressive duration of just 7 months.
The peaks conquered include: Mount Tahan, Mount Korbu, Mount Yong Belar, Mount Gayong, Mount Chamah, Mount Yong Yap, and Mount Ulu Sepat.
Naven is currently a Form 4 (4SK2) student at SMK Chio Min, located in Kulim, Kedah. He has been studying at this institution since Form 1 in 2023 and is presently 16 years old. At such a young age, his determination, resilience, and passion for mountaineering are truly admirable.
His journey into hiking has been greatly influenced by his mother, whose love for nature and outdoor exploration inspires the family. On weekends, she often takes her children on hiking trips, allowing them to experience the beauty of nature while building physical strength and endurance. Through these adventures, Naven has learned to remain focused and determined even when faced with steep and challenging trails.
These experiences have shaped his courage, patience, and unwavering spirit to never give up.
